The BioZEG-project

The BioZEG plant was officially opened March 6th, 2014. In the plant a 20kW SOFC is thermally integrated with the regenerator of a 30kW sorption – enhanced steam methane reforming (SESMR) system. Jon Strand is from January 8. employed as Process Engineer at ZEG Power AS. He holds a M.Sc. in Nanotechnology from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and has background from the gas reforming industry. He has previously also worked with production and operation of fuel cells for auxiliary power units (APUs).

He is educated siv.ing (MTech) in Environmental Physics at The Norwegian University of Life Science and Dr.Ing (PhD) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. IEA ETP 2012

The International Energy Agency’s (IEA) flagship publication, Energy Technology Perspectives 2012 (ETP 2012) – Pathways to a Clean Energy System, for the first time dedicates a chapter to a far-reaching examination of hydrogen use in the future global energy mix, concluding that hydrogen could play an important role in a low-carbon energy system.
