Arild Selvig, CEO
Mr. Arild Selvig serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ZEG Power.
Selvig has more than 30 years leadership experience from the energy industry, where he has been heading up strategy, R&D, M&A, and commercial activities as well as delivering turnkey solutions and services to the global market.
Selvig started his career on the E&P side working more than 10 years in Norsk Hydro O&G across the entire upstream value chain. He also has 20 years experience with FMC and TechnipFMC in various senior executive roles where his responsibilities recently were expanded to also include TechnipFMC’s growth initiatives within renewables such as offshore wind, hydrogen, and wave energy.
Selvig holds a MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from NTNU and Master in Technology Management from NTNU/NHH/Sloan School of Management under MIT in Boston. In addition, he has a Business Administration Candidate degree from Norwegian School of Management.
Kathrine Kværnæs Ryengen, CCO
Ms. Kathrine K Ryengen serves as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of ZEG Power.
Ryengen has extensive experience with technology start-ups and from commercializing innovative business models and technologies for industrial applications. Prior to ZEG Power, Ryengen worked 9 years in Scatec startup companies, including Norsk Titanium, a successful, global leader within additive manufacturing of structural titanium components for aerospace applications, where she was part of the original startup team and served as VP Business Development. Prior to Scatec and Norsk Titanium, Ryengen spent a decade within the field of Technology and Management Consulting, working for various companies, including Accenture.
Ryengen holds a Master of Technology Management (MTM) from UNSW, Australia, and a Master of Industrial Economics and Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, Norway.
Jan-Tore Christiansen, CFO & BD
Mr. Jan-Tore Christiansen serves as the CFO and head of Business Development in ZEG Power.
Christiansen comes from a position as equity analyst in Sparebank 1 Markets. Previous engagements include extensive experience in capital management and financial analysis, amongst others from Sector Asset Management. Christiansen also has consulting experience from leading firms such as Artur Andersen/E&Y, as well as important start-up experience from founding and managing own company.
He holds a MSc degree (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in addition to a CEMS Master´s degree from NHH/ESADE (Spain).
Arnstein Norheim, PhD – CTO
Dr. Norheim serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in ZEG Power.
Norheim has extensive experience from technology development and upscaling of various renewable energy production process plants, as well as from project management of both innovative and commercial technology. He has worked with a variety of thermal process technologies such as gasification, pyrolysis and combustion, in addition to electrochemistry and catalysis. Among other things, Norheim has been involved in the piloting of the ZEG technology in 2013-14, upscaling of Arbaflame’s black pellet technology, as well as upscaling and commercialization of Quantafuel’s PtL technology as the company’s CTO 2017-2018.
Norheim holds a degree in environmental physics from NMBU / DTU and a PhD in combustion engineering from NTNU.
Øystein Løken Mørch, CPO
Mr. Mørch serves as the Chief Project Officer (CPO) in ZEG Power.
Mørch has 20 years background from the energy sector, including Aker Solutions, a leading player in their field. Mørch has gained extensive experience from supply chain management and project management of comprehensive projects throughout his career.
Mørch holds a Master in Environmental Engineering from NTNU and an MBA from INSEAD.
Margrethe Stenrød West, Senior Process Engineer
Ms. West has extensive experience with process design, optimisation and engineering within the oil and gas industry. She comes from a management position in KANFA AS where she worked as process lead for several studies, bids and projects and she was also involved in growth of the company from a start-up to an established market player.
West holds a Master of Science (MSc) from NTNU, Norway, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from La Trobe University, Australia.
Vidar Graff, Senior Process Engineer
Mr. Graff has 9 years technical background from oil and gas industry working for Aker Solutions and Equinor. Graff has comprehensive process and project experience from e.g. Johan Sverdrup, covering conceptual development, detail engineering, offshore commissioning and start-up.
Graff holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering from NTNU, Norway, with 1-year study abroad at Curtin University, Australia.
Christian Wik Høy, Senior Mechanical Engineer
Mr. Høy has extensive experience with R&D projects in the oil and gas industry. He has worked for Aker Solutions on multiphase pump technology and for FSubsea on development of world’s most powerful subsea magnetic coupling. His work spreads from conceptual design, detail engineering including flow and thermal analysis, manufacturing, prototype testing and post-processing of test data.
Høy holds a MSc in Energy and Environment from NTNU, Norway, with 1-year study abroad at University of California San Diego, USA.
Terje Rosquist Tofteberg, PhD – Business Development Director
Dr. Tofteberg comes from Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) where he served as equity portfolio manager and head of Global Strategies. There he managed equity portfolios for the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund based out of London and Oslo. Prior to NBIM, he worked as a Research Scientist at SINTEF within polymer processing.
Tofteberg holds a MSc in Chemistry from NTNU and Technical University Berlin as well as a PhD in microtechnology from the University of Oslo.
Owe N Thoresen, Project Director
Mr. Thoresen has background form machine development and project execution within the automation industry. Thoresen has gained extensive experience throughout his career, working for Tronrud Engineering AS, Nor-Reg Systems AS and Norsk Titanium AS, within project management of comprehensive projects including equipment development, construction and delivery for silicon wafer handling within the solar industry, end of line packaging solutions and titanium 3D printing equipment for the aerospace industry.
Thoresen holds an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Glasgow University.
Henrik Eidem, Senior Automation Engineer
Mr. Eidem has more than 20 years’ experience from the offshore and maritime industry working for several leading supplies, as well as the LNG ship owners Golar and BW. Eidem has extensive experience within project management and engineering related to new installations, service, optimisation and maintenance.
Eidem holds a BSc from HIST Norway, within electro and automation.
