Kathrine Kværnæs Ryengen, CEO
Ms. Kathrine K Ryengen serves as the CEO of ZEG Power.
Ryengen has extensive experience with technology start-ups and from commercializing innovative business models and technologies for industrial applications. Prior to ZEG Power, Ryengen worked 9 years in Scatec startup companies, including Norsk Titanium, a successful, global leader within additive manufacturing of structural titanium components for aerospace applications, where she was part of the original startup team and served as VP Business Development. Prior to Scatec and Norsk Titanium, Ryengen spent a decade within the field of Technology and Management Consulting, working for various companies, including Accenture.
Ryengen holds a Master of Technology Management (MTM) from UNSW, Australia, and a Master of Industrial Economics and Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, Norway.
Jan-Tore Christiansen, CFO & BD
Mr. Jan-Tore Christiansen serves as the CFO and head of Business Development in ZEG Power.
Christiansen comes from a position as equity analyst in Sparebank 1 Markets. Previous engagements include extensive experience in capital management and financial analysis, amongst others from Sector Asset Management. Christiansen also has consulting experience from leading firms such as Artur Andersen/E&Y, as well as important start-up experience from founding and managing own company.
He holds a MSc degree (siviløkonom) from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in addition to a CEMS Master´s degree from NHH/ESADE (Spain).
Arnstein Norheim, PhD – CTO
Dr. Norheim serves as the CTO of ZEG Power.
Norheim has extensive experience from technology development and upscaling of various renewable energy production process plants, as well as from project management of both innovative and commercial technology. He has worked with a variety of thermal process technologies such as gasification, pyrolysis and combustion, in addition to electrochemistry and catalysis. Among other things, Norheim has been involved in the piloting of the ZEG technology in 2013-14, upscaling of Arbaflame’s black pellet technology, as well as upscaling and commercialization of Quantafuel’s PtL technology as the company’s CTO 2017-2018.
Norheim holds a degree in environmental physics from NMBU / DTU and a PhD in combustion engineering from NTNU.
Øystein Løken Mørch, Chief Project Officer (CPO)
Mr Mørch has 20 years background from the energy sector, including Aker Solutions, a leading player in their field. Mørch has gained extensive experience from supply chain management and project management of comprehensive projects throughout his career.
Mørch holds a Master in Environmental Engineering from NTNU and an MBA from INSEAD.
Margrethe Stenrød West, Senior Process Engineer
West has extensive experience with process design, optimisation and engineering within the oil and gas industry. She comes from a management position in KANFA AS where she worked as process lead for several studies, bids and projects and she was also involved in growth of the company from a start-up to an established market player.
West holds a Master of Science (MSc) from NTNU, Norway, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from La Trobe University, Australia.
Vidar Graff, Senior Process Engineer
Mr. Graff has 9 years technical background from oil and gas industry working for Aker Solutions and Equinor. Graff has comprehensive process and project experience from e.g. Johan Sverdrup, covering conceptual development, detail engineering, offshore commissioning and start-up.
Graff holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering from NTNU, Norway, with 1-year study abroad at Curtin University, Australia.
Nicola Di Giulio, PhD – Chief Engineer
Dr. Nicola Di Giulio serves as Chief Engineer at ZEG Power.
Giulio has contributed to the technology development and scale-up of the ZEG technology to its current stage, where it is ready for industrialization and commercialization. Prior to ZEG Power, Giulio worked as an R&D engineer in the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), and at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). Giulio has nearly 10 years of experience in the hydrogen and CCS sectors and has both been leading and taken part in comprehensive, national and international technology development programs.
Giulio holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering Processes and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering – Energy.
